Black/White Poodle Ornament

Poodles have both German & French roots, and are exceedingly smart water dogs, bred frequently as "gun dogs" for duck hunters. These hypoallergenic canines became popular in the United States after World War II, and were bred in 3 sizes: standard, miniature and toy. By the Fifties, poodles were seen more as status companions for stylish women and launched trends in both fashion and home decor.
